Fresh Art and Fresh Faces

Thank you for last semester's students who loaned me their oil pastel Georgia O'Keeffe inspired flowers and landscapes, or their Rousseau inspired fantasy forest, or their pet portraits.  I finally got some of their artwork on display outside of the art room.  It has been awesome to meet all of this semester's art students.  I look forward to getting to know you better and seeing what inspires you as we begin our color wheel projects.

I can't believe we are starting a new semester!!!

I'm so excited to meet all of my second semester students tomorrow!!

Here are the supplies you need:
Art Supply List; Required Supplies

  • Sketchbook (spiral bound will hold up the best, about 8x10inch or the size of a sheet of printer paper (9x12 is also ok)).  This should have 100 or more white pages for 7th and 8thgraders.

  • Sharpened Pencils (#2 pencils are fine, but I recommend a set of 4-6 graphite/drawing pencils with different hardness of pencils, ex: 4H, H, a 4B, and HB etc.)

  • 4 Black Sharpies- 2 Fine Tip, 2 Extra (or ULTRA) Fine Tip

  • Zipper Pouch (optional) or Mrs. Fallon can provide a Ziplock bag for you to put your name on it for your materials.

Useful but Optional Supplies
  • Apron or Smock (old shirt)
  • Eraser—vinyl, plastic, gum, or pink pearl eraser—your choice
  • Sharpener—small hand held pencil sharpener
  • Colored Pencils/Marker Setdoes not need to be a fancy set, but some students prefer to have a small basic set available for sketchbook assignments
