1,2, and 5th period glass projects

1st, 2nd, and 5th period art classes students created 2 kiln formed glass projects.  This week, they will be made into pendants and keychains.  One of these projects are free for the student to keep with no cost.  The second project was created as a fundraiser.  It will be sold for $15.  Students kept this in mind as they created and they will have first choice if they wish to buy the second project they created.  After 9/19, I will be prepared to accept and receipt cash or checks made out to KGMS with art fundraiser as the memo.  Funds collected will be used to purchase more materials for future glass projects. PHEW!! What a week!

Time is flying by! Can't believe we already have the first week finished.  On the agenda for week 2--continuing to learn about color, painting, color mixing game, and a kiln formed glass project!!  Stay tuned for pictures.

WELCOME!!!

I am so excited to have you join me in the art room! We are going to explore lots of fun materials and learn new concepts and build on existing skills.  The plan is to be painting on Thursday and Friday, learning about colors and color blending and working with glass next week! PLEASE RETURN PERMISSION FOR STUDENTS TO USE SHARP MATERIALS ASAP so you can participate!! Have a great first week! --Mrs. Fallon

What's going on...

Good Morning!

We are wrapping up our fantasy animal drawings, glazing our clay projects, and finishing our first artist statements for Art I.

Art II students are finishing up their book end painting projects, writing their artist statement and finishing a drawing focusing on line and pattern.

Semester 2!!!

Semester 2 is off to a great start!! I am excited to get to know all of my new students and especially excited to be teaching 2 Art II sections this year for my advanced art students.  Please check the supply list and students should have their supplies by Thursday, January 10.  Please also return the bottom of the art information sheet.  Make sure you and a parent have signed it!
