Important!! Art is a semester long course!! Please double check what semester you have art.
It has come to my attention that some of you may be confused about what semester you have art. Art is a SEMESTER long course. Most students will have a class period where you have 2 2nd periods, or 2 4th periods, or 2 5th periods, or 2 6th periods listed on your schedule. Your art class will happen in the semester the order shows. For example if art is listed first then drama is listed second, you will have art 1st semester and drama 2nd semester. If drama is listed first and art is listed second, you will have drama first semester and art second semester. Please see the slide show for clarification. Email me if your are still uncertain. hfallon@kgcs.k12.va.us

Such a shock!!
I am in total shock!! I'm still processing and can hardly bring myself to believe the most recent turn of events. I was honored to teach you all art this past 9 weeks, and I am so sad we didn't get to finish out the year in the art room together. You all wowed me with your exceptional artwork and incredible motivation. I am so sad that we didn't get the opportunity to finish the clay projects. The kiln is loaded full of projects awaiting firing. I am not sure when I will be allowed back to get it done. I will post a google slide show of some of your artworks I took pictures of before school was closed. I am not sure how we can get your artwork back to you/when it will be safe to do so but it is my sincere hope that we will be able to do so. I will post some art review suggestions, links and videos that I personally enjoy while I wait for further instructions. I hope you will continue making art.

1,2, and 5th period glass projects
1st, 2nd, and 5th period art classes students created 2 kiln formed glass projects. This week, they will be made into pendants and keychains. One of these projects are free for the student to keep with no cost. The second project was created as a fundraiser. It will be sold for $15. Students kept this in mind as they created and they will have first choice if they wish to buy the second project they created. After 9/19, I will be prepared to accept and receipt cash or checks made out to KGMS with art fundraiser as the memo. Funds collected will be used to purchase more materials for future glass projects. Please email me if you have any questions. hfallon@kgcs.k12.va.us
